Hoopers is a flowing, ground-level sport that builds confidence, focus and teamwork without jumping or tight turns. Suitable for dogs of all ages, breeds and abilities, it’s ideal for young, older, or lower-impact needs.

At BDTC, classes focus on clear communication, independent obstacle skills and distance handling in a supportive, reward-based environment. Through progressive exercises and simple courses, teams develop smooth movement, confidence and connection.

Whether you’re after a fun enrichment activity or a new sport, Hoopers offers an engaging and accessible pathway for you and your dog.

Completion of Family Dog Training Level 2 is required before joining our Hoopers as part of the BDTC training pathway. Our Hoopers class is currently full.

At BDTC, Hoopers focuses on building clear communication, independence and teamwork through positive, reward-based training. Dogs learn to navigate hoops, tunnels and barrels while handlers develop timing, positioning and distance skills in a supportive environment.

Hoopers develops clear communication, confidence and teamwork, while introducing the foundations of a fun, flowing dog sport. You’ll build skills progressively, whether you’re training for enjoyment or exploring a competition pathway.

Dogs and handlers can progress into Hoopers after Family Dog Training, or enter from another training stream through assessment.
